We are a Methodist-Anglican ecumenical partnership on Cedar Road in upper Stocksbridge near the shops.  The postcode is S36 1AS.

The church is not a building  but a community of Christians.  Our Christian life of worship, prayer, study and outreach continues.

Monday Reflective Bible Study:

Due to Government restrictions,  we will now meet on Zoom.

We meet every Monday at 1PM. Anyone wanting to participate via Zoom should contact Revd. James Grayson by email at j.h.grayson@sheffield.ac.uk.

Wednesday Community Prayer: 

We will continue to meet on Wednesdays at 2 PM via Zoom.  Anyone want to participate should contact Phil Hall at philtheowl@hotmail.com or by phone on 07896 24-3877 to get a link.

We also will continue Community Prayer individually in our homes.

Cornerstone Social Cafe NOW OPEN !  The cafe is open every Thursday from 9 to 11:30 AM.  Come and have a ‘cuppa’ and a chat !  Board games,  and papers and magazines are provided.

We are a vibrant worshipping community seeking to serve Christ by serving the community.  Sunday worship starts at 10:30.  Young children and families are especially welcome.  There is a loop system in the sanctuary and the church hall.

Stocksbridge Christian Centre is a Fair Trade Church.

Garden of MeditationAs a permanent memorial to the 60th anniversary celebrations,  we have created a ‘Garden of Meditation’ at the rear of the church for everyone in the community to come, rest and reflect.

The ARK, activity worship for children, is open from 10:30 every Sunday.  Twice a month – on the first and third Sundays of every month –  there is a more formal programme of study – ‘Thinking about Jesus’.

Reflective Bible Study  –  Every Monday at 1 PM in the Church Hall. 

Prayer for the Community / Work of the Church  – Every Wednesday at 2 PM in the Small Meeting Room.    During ‘lockdown’,  we are meeting every Wednesday at 2 PM by Zoom.   To join,  please contact the Phil Hall on philtheowl@hotmail.com who will give you a ‘link’ into the meeting.

Girls’ Brigade   Every Monday.    n:vestigate (primary years 1 to 3) meet at 4:45 to 6 PM, n:gage (primary years 4 to 6) meet at 6 to at 7:15 PM, and n:counta (secondary school) meet from 7:15 to 8:30 PM .  Girls’ Brigade Headquarters have ordered meetings to cease until further notice due to Coronavirus.

Boys’ Brigade    Every Wednesday.    Anchor Boys (primary years 1 to 3) meet at             4:45 to 6 PM,  Juniors (primary years 4 to 6) meet at 6 to 7:15 PM and the Company (secondary school) meet at 7:15 to 8:30 PM.  Boys’ Brigade Headquarters have ordered meetings to cease until further notice due to Coronavirus.

The Hanger Youth Club        Every Friday 6 to 8 PM.  This meeting is suspended until further notice due to Coronavirus.

Grouse and Grumble   Men’s chat group.  Second Friday of the Month.  7:30 PM.  Red Grouse in the Tap room. This meeting is suspended until further notice due to Coronavirus.
