1970 – Sunday School moves to St. Ann’s Catholic Primary School.
28 September, 1974 (Saturday) – Sunday School building on Cedar Road dedicated and opened. December, 1976 – Decision to establish an ecumenical church.
January, 1978 – Cedar Road Ecumenical Project Working Party formed.
16 July, 1978 – Cedar Road Methodist Church formally opened.
17 September, 1978 – Opening of the ecumenical Stocksbridge Christian Centre.
26 September, 1978 – First Saturday ‘Coffee Morning’ held.
December, 1979 – With One Voice ecumenical hymnbooks purchased.
13 August, 1980 – Church Council agrees to a formal, legal Sharing Agreement between the Methodist Church and the Church of England.
5 September, 1982 – Sharing Agreement formally agreed and celebrated.
24 March, 1983 – ‘Norwich’ electronic organ installed.
22 May, 1983 – First Confirmation/Membership Service.
December, 1983 – Current vestry built.
Late 1985 – Lunch Club starts.
February, 1989 – ‘This Church Welcomes You’ sign placed over entrance.
22 April, 1995 – First themed dinner evening.

28 October, 2018 – First ‘Exalt’ service of praise on afternoon of last Sunday of every month. 17 February, 2019 – ‘Cornerstone Drop-in Cafe’ begins. Every Thursday from 9 to 11:30 AM. 14 July, 2019 – Celebration of 60 years on the Whitwell Estate. Dedication of ‘Garden of Meditation’. 3 November, 2019 – First service of ‘Exalt: Explore’, a service of teaching and praise on the second Sunday of each month. ‘Exalt’ moves to the fourth Sunday of each month.
